Is Lottomart scam? Read our Lottomart.com review 2020 to find out!
Many lottery websites have a dedicated mobile application to supplement their services. It is not often that we come across a website that the opposite of this is true. Launched in 2017 by Maple International Ventures Limited, Lottomart.com is a site that has been built with the mobile app at the forefront. That does not mean, however, that its website development has been skimped on. In this Lottomart.com review, we will look at how the site works and what you can do by visiting it.
How Does Lottomart Work?
Let us start by saying right up front that Lottomart does not purchase tickets on your behalf from lottery providers. Instead, it offers players the chance to bet on the outcome of lottery results. Therefore, it, like many of the other best online lottery sites, is actually a lottery betting site.
To begin playing, you will need to register a player account. This is a quick process that requires you to submit your full name, date of birth, and physical address. Once registered, you are free to bet on as many lotteries as you choose.
Is Lottomart.com Legit or a Scam?
Lottomart is licensed under the gaming authorities of Gibraltar and Great Britain. As you could probably guess, this means that they have pages upon pages of rules that they are expected to follow in order to continue offering their services to people. For this reason, and the fact that they have a robust set of terms and conditions, makes us think that they are wholly trustworthy and that you should not have any qualms about playing on the site. In addition, the site states that a portion of all proceeds are donated to various charities, which is always a nice addition.
There is both a good and an unfortunate aspect to the Lottomart website. The bad is that the site does not function as a website. The site makes it clear from the start that the primary place they want you to play is on the mobile app. However, they have catered to desktop and laptop users as well by creating a web-based mobile emulator version of the website.
Hearing that the site does not really run as a proper website may turn you off slightly, but please don’t allow it to. The site is actually fantastic! The design of the site follows the app theme and is modern, sleek, and beautiful to look at. It is also incredibly responsive and easy to navigate thanks to the hamburger menu that is conveniently located in the top-left corner of the screen.
As you may have guessed (unless you have just been skimming this review to get to the good parts), the website clearly has dedicated mobile apps for Android and iOS. The site encourages the use of these apps over the use of the actual website. You can take a look at our Lottomart app review to see what the app is all about.
Lottomart is based out of Gibraltar but mainly operates in the UK. For this reason, you would expect there to be a large number of UK lotteries supported—which there are. However, there is also a decent mix of our favourite international lotteries. The lotteries available through the site are:
- Quick Lotto Plus
- Quick Lotto
- Irish Lotto
- Mini Lotto
- Great British Lotto
- US Powerball
- Super EnaLotto
- Euro Millions
- Mega Millions
- Loto France
Lottomart offers a few extras to tempt players to use their services:
- Diamonds: Diamonds are Lottomart’s version of reward points. Playing on the site or through the app will result in you earning diamonds. These diamonds can be redeemed for free bets on your favourite lotteries so that you get to play for free.
- Boost: This great feature allows you to boost your ticket by paying a nominal fee to add additional lines to your lottery bet. This fee is much less than what purchasing another bet ticket would cost and allows you to boost a single ticket up to eight times (depending on the lottery). However, there is a catch that is hidden in the terms and conditions of the site. Using the boost function will reduce the winnings that you receive if your boosted ticket does win you some cash.
- Scratchcards: Lottomart proudly boasts its selection of exclusive scratchers that they have available. Their main selling point is that some of their scratchers offer massive jackpots of up to £150,000—a staggering amount for an online scratcher.
- Games: There is also a smattering of live games (e.g. Monopoly, Deal or No Deal, live casino games, etc.) and slots—including many excellent offerings from popular developer Pariplay—available on the site through which you can win great cash prizes while being (very) entertained.
However, two things that we love and couldn't help notice were missing were syndicates and subscriptions. Adding these would make the whole experience considerably more well-rounded.
At the time of this review, the only payment options available on the site are Visa, Mastercard, Diner’s Club, and Discovery card. However, the website does say that they are working on adding more options, so we hope that this becomes a reality soon.
Withdrawals are only processed back to the card that you used to deposit funds into your account with. In the case that this is not possible, you may request winnings to be paid out via bank transfer.
How to Claim Your Winnings
All winnings earned by correctly guessing the correct lottery numbers will be credited to your player account. These can easily be withdrawn by clicking on the ‘Withdraw’ button on your player account. In order to withdraw your winnings, you will need to verify your account by submitting your personal documents such as proof of residence, your identity document, and proof of your banking details (if you are withdrawing via bank transfer).
There is a generous FAQ section on the website that answers almost any questions you may have regarding the operations of the site. In addition to this, there is a support email address (email@example.com), a contact number (+44 808 178 1511) that is available between 09:30 and 17:30 GMT, and a live chat function on the site that is available between 09:00 and 18:00 GMT.
There are two welcome bonuses that new players can choose from when registering a player account. The bet promotion entitles players to one free lottery bet ticket after their first purchase. The second promotion entitles players to 10 free scratch cards after purchasing their first scratcher.
Rules and Regulations
Players must be 18 years of age or older and must reside in the United Kingdom, Gibraltar, or the Isle of Man. Anybody not in these locations is not eligible to play using the website.
Lottomart.com Review Conclusion
For a website that tries to push players to use its corresponding application rather than the website itself, Lottomart.com is excellent. While the lack of syndicates and subscriptions is certainly noticeable, Lottomart looks stunning, is great to use, and has a solid set of terms and conditions that makes it is a fantastic and secure place to try your luck and win some extra cash—provided you're in one of the three territories that it operates in.
