The Alchemist Scratch Card Review

Fun and exciting online scratch cards are abundant when searching online. A simple Google search will bring back hundreds of results of different games that each feature something unique. In this The Alchemist scratch card review, we will look at another feature came developed by Pariplay, a leader in online game development.

Gameplay

The Alchemist Scratch CardPlaying The Alchemist is very straightforward. To start, you will need to decide what bet you would like to play per scratch card. The bet that you decide to play per card (discussed later on in this article) will have a direct bearing on the amount of money that you can win from the game.

After you have chosen the bet amount that you would like to play with, simply start the scratch card by clicking on the giant “Play” button. Clicking “Play” will present you with a 3x3 grid of glass beakers that each hold either a blue, green, or red liquid inside of them. Clicking on the beaker reveals a small germ-like figure in a puff of smoke that is overlaid with the word “Poof.” Match three of these figures and you’ll be a winner. Alternatively, if you do not want to go through the effort of clicking on each beaker, you can click on the “Reveal all” button at the start of the game. Doing this will instantaneously reveal all the little germs beneath the beakers.

It is easy to see if you are a winner because the winning three germs will be illuminated (think of a stage spotlight being shone on them), while the others are plunged into a darker state. If this isn’t obvious enough, there will also be a banner that appears in the middle of your screen that tells you that you are a winner and what the amount that you have won is.

Graphics

The graphics in The Alchemist are really fun. To start, there are what appear to be two electrodes on the right side of the screen that occasionally shoot electricity between them. Then there is the alchemist himself—a crazy-looking old scientist in a white lab coat that stands and holds two test tubes while waiting for you to play. If you win, he escapes and stands there waiting for the next card. However, if you lose, he mixes the substances contained in his two test tubes and promptly blows himself up—what a dramatic exit!

The background music is whimsical and really makes you feel like you are in the laboratory of a mad scientist. The game also has some neat sound effects such as crackling electricity when the electrodes activate and a rousing chorus of applause when you win. If these all begin to annoy you at some point, however, you can easily turn them off in the options.

Prizes

The prizes available when playing The Alchemist are reliant on how much you are willing to spend. Playing the minimum bet amount will only allow you to hit a jackpot of €5,000, while playing the max bet means that you stand a chance of winning a maximum of €100,000. The game has an RTP percentage of 89%, which is along the above-average to great range.

Prizes are calculated using a specific multiplier which is applied to your bet amount and dependant on which three little germs you match. The multipliers are spread amongst the germs in the following way:

Cost to Play

The cost to play The Alchemist depends on how much money you are willing to bet. Card prices start from as little as €0.50 per card and max out at €10 per card. As mentioned above, these bet prices relate directly to what you can win from the game, so if you are looking to hit the jackpot, you will need to play the €10 per card game. These prices are also dependant on the provider that you are playing the game through and could sometimes be slightly more or less than those stated above.

Supported Platforms

The Alchemist can be accessed from any PC using common web browsers and a decent Internet connection. Also, certain lottery websites and online casinos make The Alchemist and many other online scratchers available through their dedicated mobile applications.

Bottom Line — Is The Alchemist Scratch Card Worth Playing?

If you are in the market for a zany, fun scratch card game that is not just a repeat of others out there, then The Alchemist may be a good match for you. With fun graphics, a solid interface, and great SFX and music, the game offers enough to keep you playing for quite some time. The one downside is that if you want to hit the jackpot, you will need to cough up more dough than you may be willing to do.
