TheBigBigLotto Review 2024

Having started way back in 2002, TheBigBigLotto is one of the oldest online lottery ticket purchasing agencies still in the game.

When it comes to lotteries, bigger is always better, and TheBigBigLotto has grown throughout the years to offer access to over 20 lottery games from around the world as well as several fun casino games.

In this TheBigBigLotto review, we'll take a look at what lotteries it has available, its payment and withdrawal options, and, most crucially, whether we think it’s legit or a scam.

TheBigBigLotto Review

Lotteries Available

Despite not being a spectacularly large offering of games, TheBigBigLotto’s selection of lotteries is certainly respectable:

  • Mega Millions
  • US Powerball
  • EuroJackpot
  • SuperEnalotto
  • La Primitiva Spain
  • EuroMillions – Belgium
  • EuroMillions – Austria
  • EuroMillions – Ireland
  • EuroMillions – UK
  • Powerball Australia
  • UK Lotto
  • French Lotto
  • El Gordo Lotto
  • Oz Lotto
  • Poland Lotto
  • Saturday Lotto AU
  • Irish Lotto
  • Lotto 6AUS49
  • Ozi Monday and Wednesday Lotto
  • Thunderball
  • Bonoloto Spain

How Does It Work?

To register with TheBigBigLotto, all you need to do is select the easy-to-find ‘register’ option on their home page and provide your name, email address, a secure password, and your country of residence. And of course, you need to agree to the terms and conditions. Then, you’re good to go! Please note that your account is registered not with TheBigBigLotto, but with GamblingTec.com, the service it’s powered by.

Once you’re all set up, you can start playing either the lotteries or the casino games that are featured on the site.

  • Lotteries

TheBigBigLotto offers three different playing options per lottery – “Official”, “Insured”, and “Bet” – but it’s not exactly clear what the differences between these options actually are. The site claims to purchase physical lottery tickets on behalf of players from official lottery retailers, but it also says that it sometimes purchases them directly under license from the official operators of the lotteries. If that’s the case, then what the “Insured” and “Bet” options, which seem like they refer to lottery betting, are is ultimately a big mystery. Despite this confusion, their main operation method seems to be pretty straightforward and in line with how other online ticket purchasing agencies work: you select a lottery, choose your lucky numbers, and your ticket is purchased for you, scanned, and uploaded to your account.
  • Casino Games

Unique to most online lottery ticket agencies, TheBigBigLotto also offers a variety of fun casino games. There are slot machine games, blackjack, poker, roulette and even more! For each game, you can choose either “Real Play” or “Fun Play”. The exact difference between these two is not clarified, but we infer that a “Real Play” is one in which money is on the stakes, and a “Fun Play” is more of a practice round.

Is TheBigBigLotto a Scam or Legit?

Let’s face it, whether it’s a relationship or purchasing lottery tickets online, everything boils down to trust in the end.

Therefore, it’s important to know that you can trust the lottery agency you’re going through. TheBigBigLotto doesn’t raise any big red flags for us, and the fact that it’s backed up by GamblingTec (which is in turn backed up by a Maltese gambling license, which is stringent in its rules) adds to its credibility.

That being said, the low-quality English and the occasional contradictory or vague information does make us just a bit sceptical, especially for a site that has been around for this long.

User Experience

TheBigBigLotto has a professional, simplistic interface, with a calming and not-too-overwhelming blue and grey colour scheme. Almost everything you need to access its services is directly accessible via its homepage. Although there’s no BigBigLotto app, the site is optimized for a mobile experience, so you can enjoy it equally well whether you’re at home or out and about.

TheBigBigLotto Features

Aside from the casino games we talked about above, TheBigBigLotto offers no additional features—there are no lottery syndicates, lotto subscriptions, scratch cards, instant-win games, or anything else. This is just a bare-bones lottery site. While that may appeal to less demanding lotto players, most would likely prefer to play through many of the other sites we have featured in our reviews.

Payment / Withdrawal Options

TheBigBigLotto has a few payment and withdrawal options, including NETeller, Skrill, and credit card. It also accepts cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and NEO.

How to Claim Your Winnings

Unfortunately, TheBigBigLotto has a rather inconvenient and unnecessary method when it comes to withdrawing winnings. In order to withdraw winnings from your account, you need to contact the GamblingTec customer support and let them know how much you want to withdraw, and which method you prefer. Considering most other sites allow you to withdraw your money with a few clicks of a mouse, this seems like a very unnecessary hassle.

Customer Support

TheBigBigLotto has a professional and competent help desk, powered by its service provider GamblingTec. The GamblingTec Help Desk features a FAQ page, called a Knowledgebase, with answers to many of the questions or problems you might come up against.

It also has a troubleshooter, which can help walk you through any questions or problems.

If neither of these can solve your issue, you can contact the Help Desk team directly via the “Submit a Ticket” option.

There’s no indication as to how long it’ll take for them to respond, but you can rank your message as urgent, high, normal, or low priority. Although there is a live chat option, there’s no indication as to the days and hours that the team is available. There is no email or phone support offered.

Welcome Bonus and Other Promotions

Sadly, TheBigBigLotto offers no welcome bonus or other promotions, which shouldn’t come as much of a surprise since the rest of the site is equally basic.

Rules and Regulations

First and foremost, as with all legal online and offline lotteries and lottery services, you need to be over the age of 18 in order to register with and make use of TheBigBigLotto. Other than that, TheBigBigLotto has no major rules, regulations, and restrictions outside of the norm.

TheBigBigLotto Review - Conclusion

TheBigBigLotto is the perfect online lottery ticket purchasing agency for no-nonsense lottery players who also know how to have fun. It’s certainly nothing special, but some might like its simple, stripped-down services. On the dark side, however, we don’t like how vague TheBigBigLotto can sometimes be, specifically when it comes to the difference between the “Official”, “Bet” and “Insured” playing options, and how unnecessarily complex it is to withdraw your winnings. As a result, while it’s not a bad site overall, there are definitely better ones out there.

I was excited when I heard these guys take Ethereum, which is my preferred mode of payment. But this review here hit the nail on the head: the hassle of having to contact customer service every time to withdraw money is ridiculous, and for me, it just wasn't worth it. After the third time I had enough and have moved onto other sites since. Maybe some people will be fine with this but I have no patience for such things.
