Is LottoLooting scam? Read our LottoLooting.com review 2020 to find out!
Owned and operated by White Lotto Limited, LottoLooting.com is yet another site fighting for a decent position in the world of online lottery sites. It is available in seven different languages and appears to be relatively new as there are no old snapshots of the site online. In this LottoLooting.com review, we will see if this site can live up to the established competition or if it is still a way away from competing with the current rulers.
How Does It Work?
The site functions simply enough if you are used to how most online lottery websites work. To begin, you will need to register a player account on the site. To do this, provide your email address, default currency (which is redundant considering the site only allows for Euro), your name, and your contact number. Once you have accepted the terms and conditions of the site, your account will be created, and you can get to playing.
After you have registered and logged into your account, you can add new tickets to your cart and check out. Ticket purchases appear to be limited to 20 per order or a total that does not exceed €1,000. This is more than enough in our opinion, as we don’t see anyone purchasing more than this in one go.
Once you have selected and paid for your tickets, the site acts as a ticket agent and has representatives in each country that holds the supported lotteries. These agents then receive your order and purchase a physical ticket for the lottery on your behalf. This ticket is then kept safe until the time of the draw.
Is LottoLooting.com Legit or a Scam?
The fact that there are few reviews of the site online is another thing that leads us to believe the LottoLooting is relatively young. However, even though we are generally very wary of new websites, the terms and conditions of this site do seem to be pretty decent. While there is certainly room for them to be improved, they do well to protect both the website owners and you as a player.
Because of this, we don’t foresee any problem that you may encounter by using the site, and we feel that it is a legitimate lottery website that is safe to use.
In terms of design, the site developer made all the right choices. The site is modern with easy navigation compliments of the top navigation bar. The graphics used for each lottery are crisp and hi-res, and the general feel of the site shows that time was invested into making the website something that players will want to spend time on.
In terms of movement and loading times, the site is responsive when moving between pages and loads relatively quickly even when the Internet speed is restricted to lower-than-normal speeds. The site also feels responsive on mobile phones and tablets.
For a website that appears to be so new, we have to be honest when we say that we are impressed by the great line-up of lotteries that the site offers. Including big names like the US Powerball and Mega Millions, the site offers 25 different lotteries that range from small to massive and from slightly less familiar to the industry leaders. The lotto games available include:
- GG World Lottery
- Super Enalotto
- Lotto 6aus49
- US Powerball
- Mega Millions
- El Gordo
- GG World X
- UK Lottery
- Lotto Austria
- Set for Life (UK)
- La Primitiva
- Florida Lotto
- Oz Saturday Lotto
- Lotto America
- French Lotto
- Oz Powerball
- Oz Lotto
- GG World Million
- Oz Monday and Wednesday Lotto
The extra features offered‚ or should we say not offered, by the site is easily the most disappointing part about the entire LottoLooting.com experience. The site provides no extras such as subscription purchases, syndicates, or multi-draw purchases. In addition, the available extras are things that every good online lottery site should have as a standard and not as an added extra. Regardless, we have listed these additions below:
- Lottery Information: The site hosts dedicated information pages for each lottery supported. These pages inform you of details such as the guess range of the game, the schedule that draws take place on, and what the prize tier offered is.
- Results: Aside from game information, the site also offers the latest results for past draws. One thing that did impress us in this respect is the ability to scroll back and select previous draws from a decent number of past months.
According to the FAQ section of the site, there are only five payment options to pay for your tickets or credit your player account. However, according to the supported payment method logos displayed on the site, there are the following seven:
Withdrawals appear to be made using all the same payment gateways. However, one thing that is specified in the terms and conditions of the site is that you may only make a withdrawal using the same method that you used to make a payment to your account. For example, if you purchased tickets using your credit card, you will only be able to withdraw funds to your credit card.
How to Claim Your Winnings
All winnings below the US$2,500 mark will automatically be credited to your player account. From here, you can select to have your winnings withdrawn to your bank account. The site examines winnings over this threshold before a decision is made on how to claim them. It seems that in most cases, the site will attempt to claim the winnings on your behalf and deposit them into your player account. However, the site also does expressly state that you may be required to collect your winnings in person—which may be a mission if you are living on the other side of the world.
One other thing to note, which is carefully placed in the site terms and conditions, is that all winnings over US$10,000 are subject to a 10% commission that is used to cover the administration expenses of the site. This is slightly excessive and rather ridiculous considering so many other sites don’t deduct anything from the winnings of players. After all, you’re already paying them commission on the purchase of tickets.
The site offers an incredibly rudimentary FAQ section that does not really do much to answer more in-depth questions that you may have. For this, you will need to make use of the other support options, which include:
- An online form
- A support email (email@example.com). Payment queries can be addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org
- A support contact line available 24/7 (+44 20 8190 0351)
- A snail mail address (9 Leyden Street, London, E1 7LE, UK)
The site does not appear to host any welcome bonuses or promotions.
Rules and Regulations
One of the most significant concerning factors of the website is the lack of clarity in the terms and conditions as to who can actually use the website and who can’t. All that the terms state is that only players who know that it is not illegal for them to use the site in their home territory are permitted to use the site.
This does little to actually stop players from using the site other than relying on their honour and the fact that they will log off if it is illegal to use the services in their region.
LottoLooting.com Review Conclusion
LottoLooting.com seems like a decent new addition to the world of online lottery websites. While there are many areas that the site can build on (such as simple things like including lottery syndicates), the site is overall a decent-looking site and is something that we think most players will be comfortable using.
However, we struggle to understand why there aren’t clear definitions of who can or cannot use the site, and we are still baffled as to why the site sees the need to claim 10% of your winnings if you win over US$10,000—which is not that large an amount compared to most jackpot amounts.
Either way, we are curious to see what the future holds for this site and whether it will either expand and become a rival to some of the greatest online sites or fizzle out and eventually disappear into the dark abyss of cyber space. In the meantime, we don't recommend it because so much of the competition just offers so much more.
