The Lottery Office Review 2024

Lottery Office ReviewLotteryOffice.com launched in late 2014 and has since become one of the top lottery websites in Australia. Owned and operated by Global Players Network Pty Ltd., it offers you the chance to try your luck in lotteries from around the world.

The site is available in English only and only to users who are living in Australia or New Zealand. Those limitations aside, they seem to have a fair amount on offer.

In this Lottery Office review, we will be taking a look at what the site offers to lottery players and determining just how good the experience of playing lotteries through them is.

How Does It Work?

All lottery purchases occurring through The Lottery Office require you to register an online player account. This registration process is quick and simple through the site's online portal.

Once registered, you select the lottery that you would like to play in, choose your numbers and the quantity of tickets and draws that you would like to play, and then check out securely.

What happens next is slightly out of the norm. All tickets purchased from The Lottery Office are for Australian government-approved lotteries that are managed and operated in Australia.

These lotteries are the ones whose ticket you will see on your online profile when looking up what tickets you have purchased.

The Lottery Office then purchases a clone of your ticket from the respective international lottery that you have selected by using their international lotto agents. All rights to this ticket belong to The Lottery Office.

If you are owed any winnings once the draw has taken place, LotteryOffice will claim your winnings from the international lottery using the ticket that they purchased. These winnings will then be paid out to you.

It might seem a bit odd that even though you have purchased the ticket, you have no actual rights to the international ticket purchased. However, The Lottery Office is live audited to ensure that you will always receive your winnings if any are due to you.

Is The Lottery Office Legit or a Scam?

The Lottery Office operates under the oversight of the Northern Territory Government. This means that there are strict procedures that the company has to follow in order to retain its license to offer you international lotteries.

This, as well as their decent online reputation, leads us to believe that we can happily trust LotteryOffice to deliver what they promise.

User Experience

The Lottery Office has a stunning website that is easy on the eyes, even at just a glance.

Everything that you need is placed in strategic ways around the site to ensure that you are able to get where you want to go with a minimal amount of navigation.

The site works well on smartphones and tablets for when you are on the move. This is not strictly necessary considering there is a dedicated official Lottery Office app for both Android and iOS. It's an excellent app that allows you to play easily no matter where you are.

Lotteries Available

There are eight different international lotteries for you to choose from.

These are all government-approved lotteries that are operated within Australia but are operated in conjunction with their international counterparts.

The lotteries offered, as well as their counterparts, are:

  • USA Power Lotto – US Powerball
  • USA Mega Lotto – US Mega Millions
  • European Millions – EuroMillions
  • UK Lotto – UK Lotto
  • Irish Lotto – Irish Lotto
  • Italian Super Jackpot – SuperEnalotto
  • La Primitiva – La Primitiva
  • European Jackpot - Eurojackpot

The Lottery Office Extras

Despite its pretty looks, The Lottery Office doesn’t have many additional features to boast of. But it does have the following:

  • Multi-Draw: This option is essentially a subscription, as it allows you to purchase tickets for a selected number of consecutive draws (1, 2, 3, 5, 10, or 20) at one time. As this saves you time from having to log in to purchase individual tickets for each draw, it's quite a convenient feature.
  • Lottery Combos: If you're in the mood to play multiple lotteries rather than just one, then the Lottery Combos option might interest you. A total of three Lottery Combos (the USA Combo, the USA/Euro Combo, and the All Lotteries Combo) are available. Each allows you to conveniently buy tickets for the most popular lotteries in one quick go. Though you won't save any money getting any of these bundles, it is definitely the fastest way to play multiple lotto games.
  • Syndicates: If you are looking to improve your chances of winning, you can play in one of the syndicate options available. These allow you to pool your money with other players to purchase many more tickets than you could afford on your own. There are currently only syndicates for the European Millions lottery available.

Payment/Withdrawal Options

The Lottery Office payment options are a bit of a let-down. Lottery Office only offers you four payment methods to purchase tickets with or to add funds to your player account.

They are Visa/MasterCard credit or debit card, BPay (which is an electronic payment method available to select Australian banks), Paysafecard and direct deposit. If you do not have access to any of these payment methods, it may be tough for you to play using the website.

Withdrawals are done directly into your chosen bank account. You may request a withdrawal from your player account at any time. There is, however, a minimum withdrawal limit of AU $10.

To request a withdrawal, you need to have verified player status. This means that you need to have submitted proof of your identity, address, and banking accounts to The Lottery Office for verification in your player account. You will not be able to make any withdrawals if your account is not verified.

How to Claim Your Winnings

LotteryOffice claims all winnings owed to you from the international lottery operators using the tickets that they purchased. These winnings, minus any relevant taxation, are then paid directly into your player account.

Winnings under AU $10,000 are immediately paid into your player account and are available for withdrawal. Winnings over AU $10,000 claimed from the lottery operator and will be available in your player account once The Lottery Office has received payment from the international operator.

Winnings paid into your account are also subject to you having a verified player status within your online account.

Customer Support

The Lottery Office has an extensive FAQ section that covers most questions that people could have about playing through on the site. It also offers support through an online form and support email address (support@lotteryoffice.com.au).

Additionally, they offer a live chat function that will connect you directly to a support agent. When we were speaking to the agent they were friendly and helpful, even considering that they could see we were using a VPN to access the website.

Welcome Bonuses/Promotions

As stated in the features section of this review, The Lottery Office is a no-frills lottery offering. They do not offer any welcome bonus or other promotions.

This is not really a problem when you consider the ease of using their services as well as the fact that they do not charge any commission on winnings.

Rules and Regulations

You need to be 18 year of age or older to be able to register a player account with Lottery Office. As mentioned, you also need to be a resident of Australia or New Zealand.

This, however, is also limited, as residents in the south region of Australia are restricted. The website uses IP tracking to block all traffic from unauthorized regions and, even for the purpose of this review, we needed to use a VPN just to view the website.

LotteryOffice.com.au Review Conclusion

The Lottery Office is a great place to play in international lotteries—provided that you live in one of the allowable regions.

Sure, it doesn’t offer any promotions or additional services to keep you entertained for a long time like some of the best lottery sites do.

But it is refreshing to play on a site that is true to its main purpose—buying lotto tickets online—with a few extras. And for Aussies and Kiwis wanting to play in international lotteries, it might be as good as it gets.

Big fan of this site! Much prefer playing USA Powerball than Australian Powerball.
