Is Winloot scam? Read our Winloot.com review 2019 to find out!
First available online towards the end of 2014, Winloot is owned and operated by New York-based company Sharestakes LLC. The site offers visitors the chance to win cash prizes every single day without ever having to spend a dime. In this Winloot review, we will look at how the site functions and how you can use it to make some extra cash.
Unlike some other online lottery websites, Winloot.com does not support any typical lottery. Instead, the site makes use of its own lottery eco-system. The prizes available on the site are funded through the website and are determined by the website owners. The prizes that you could stand a chance of winning range from $10 instant cash prizes to $10,000 every month for a year.
Each prize is linked to its own draw. Each of these draws has its own draw date and a set of rules tailored to work specifically for itself. These rules are easily viewed on the site and can help guide you in understanding the criteria for each draw.
How Does It Work?
To begin playing on Winloot.com, you will need to register a user account. Doing this is free of charge and is incredibly easy to do. In fact, when first registering your account, the only information that you will need to provide the site with is a valid email address.
Once registered, entering draws is as simple as following the instructions on the home page of the website. There are 35 draws in total that you can enter daily. These draws can only be entered one at a time. This means that if you only want to enter the 15thdraw, you will first need to enter the first 14 draws.
Entering a draw can be done by selecting the required amount of numbers from the available selection and submitting them. If you would not like to choose your own numbers, you can opt to use the Quick Pickfeature and let the website choose numbers for you.
If any numbers that you have submitted are found to be the winning numbers of a draw, you will be notified via email that you are a winner.
Is Winloot.com Legit or a Scam?
Winloot has been around for such a decent amount of years that we are confident it is not a scam and can easily be trusted. What makes us even more convinced of this is the fact that the site has a decent online reputation, openly displays all winners for users to see, and does not actually require users to make any payment to the site. In fact, the site plainly states that making any payments to the website will not increase your chances of winning any draw and that users are strongly discouraged from attempting to make payment to the site. The fact that it is operated by Sharestakes LLC, which also runs the similar UWinIt.com, also says a lot.
Despite the site’s trustworthiness, the website design of Winloot could do with a slight amount of upgrading and modernization. While there is nothing inherently wrong with the site, it seems that there are various page designs depending on where you are on the site. The feel of the site is also slightly ‘clumsy,’ and the website is less responsive than what we have come to expect from other lottery sites.
Navigating the site can be done via the horizontal menu at the top of the page. This menu bar, however, does not seem to be a feature of every single page, as some pages force you to continue onto a specified webpage by only providing one link in order to navigate. This is slightly frustrating at times and could annoy some users enough that they might log off the site and not quickly return.
Added to the clunky, slow, and slightly annoying design of the website are adverts. While we completely understand that all prizes available on the website are funded by ad revenue and all of the sweepstakes are free to enter, the continuous ads visible on almost every single page of the site do become irritating. Thankfully, you will likely learn—as we did—just to eventually ignore them while using the site.
Winloot.com does not offer any extras as its competitors do. The only thing that should be mentioned is the token system that the site uses. For each draw that you enter, you will receive a set amount of site tokens. These tokens do not really do anything except allow you to enter even more draws. The difference between these draws and the standard draws available is that draws entered with the use of tokens generally do not carry a cash prize. Instead, these draws offer items as prizes which vary from flat-screen TVs to gift cards.
Because Winloot is entirely free to play, the site does not make use of any payment or withdrawal methods. This is great considering you can play without having to worry whether your chosen payment method is supported by the website.
How to Claim Your Winnings
Winning a draw on Winloot is a simple process that requires little to no effort on your part. All winners are notified of the fact via an email sent to their registered email address. Once you have acknowledged receipt of your winning notification, Winloot employees will liaise with you as to how best to deliver your prize.
In some instances, you may be required to submit additional information in order to claim your prize. This information could include a copy of your identity document or proof of residential address. The company employee that assists with your claim will inform you if any of this documentation is required.
It does not seem as though Winloot likes being contacted, purely due to the lack of contact options available on the website. While there is an introductory FAQ section, which does not really answer any pressing questions, the only contact option is a link to an online helpdesk where you may submit a support ticket to the Winloot support team. This link is hidden in the FAQ section, and we only came across it out of pure luck.
Winloot does not offer any welcome bonuses to new players and does not offer promotions.
Rules and Regulations
Winloot is entirely open to anyone—provided they meet two requirements. The first requirement is the general rule that you should be 18 years of age or older in order to play. The second requirement is that you must reside in either the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. If you are not in these regions, then it is best to find another website to play on that is supported where you live.
Winloot.com Review Conclusion
Winloot does a great job of offering the masses something that everybody wants—a chance to win money without having to spend any money. However, the entire experience of playing on the site would be significantly improved by a simple redesign, better explanations of what to do and where to go, and proper customer support channels. That being said, there is not much that we can complain about considering that the site is free to use. All that is left to be done is to enter in all 35 draws and hope for the best.
If, however, the never-ending ads and general nature of this type of site don’t sit well with you and you don’t mind paying a few dollars to play real lotteries with huge jackpots, then there are definitely many excellent online lottery sites that will allow you to do just that.
